For a no annual fee card, the Citi ThankYou® Preferred does pretty well in terms of earning rewards, but feels restricted when it comes to redemption, especially since the Preferred card does not have the same travel partner access other Citi cards have. In short, the card does not excel in any given field, and, if you really want to go with Citi, we suggest you start with Citi ThankYou® Premier Card instead.
