Even with a sizeable sign-up bonus, this United card struggles to sound like a convincing investment. It is only with the help of its numerous travel perks that we are starting to see any true value. If we were to come up with an ideal user for the card, we would say someone who travels a lot for work and is based next to a United hub, or someone always flying with a bag, like an athlete or a musician.
